About me:
London-based artist who somehow seldom gets time to actually make any work. Teach Fine Art on the Foundation Diploma at UCA Farnham. Contribute to MostlyFilm.com – writing about art, mostly.
About this blog:
Musings on art, likely to include some or all of the following: work seen, ideas explored, books and articles read, and pretty much anything else art-related that comes to mind.
Basically this is a place to write about art that interests me, moves me, amuses me or perhaps even annoys me and generally gather my thoughts about art, whether it’s work I’ve just discovered or the work I keep coming back to.

Ann, you manage to be informative and opinionated without being boring. I like your style and really look forward to getting your posts in my inbox. Thanks.
Hi Ann
Just to let you know, I have nominated you for the 7 x 7 Link Award. I’m not entirely sure, but I think the purpose of it is to highlight beautiful and inspiring blogs. Anyway, that’s why I thought of your blog. The details are here: http://thefutureispapiermache.wordpress.com/awards/the-magic-number-awards-post/. Don’t feel under any pressure to participate if you don’t want to. All the best, Richard
Thanks Richard, that’s very flattering! Will take a look…
Hi Ann,
If you remember I was on the Access course 2009-2010…I did the propped panels of my dad, for my final piece….and went on to the MA Fine Art. I am doing it part-time.
Anyway…. my work is currently about landscape…. more specifically the place I was brought up in.
Recently, I went to the Patrick Keiller exhibition and looking at various reviews of the exhibition, found your piece. If you are still at UCA, would you consider giving me some of your time to talk about the exhibition and how it fits with my work? I appreciate this is a big ask as you were/are so busy but nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say!
Kind Regards
Virginia
Hi Virginia, I remember you (and your work) very well! Email me; I’m sure we can sort something out (although possibly easier in November if that’s okay). Ann
Brilliant! I tried your uca email but it bounced back to me!
How odd. It should work okay. But the one on this page works fine.
Hi Ann,
Are you still good for meeting up tommorrow?
You suggested 5pm. Is that still the best time?
Virginia
Yes. Will email.
Did you go to college in Bath?
No.
